A Late Victorian Silver Plated Four Piece Tea and Coffee Service by Lloyd Payne and Amiel Manchester

A silver plated four piece tea and coffee service retailed by Lloyd, Payne and Amiel of Manchester. The set comprises a coffee pot, teapot, two-handled sugar bowl, and a cream jug.  The underside of the bases bear the following stamped marks: a Prince of Wales feathers symbol, LLOYD.PAYNE&AMIEL, MANCHESTER, Rd No 251095, 4935, and a trident mark associated with the manufacturer Atkin Brothers. The registered design number 251095 indicates the design was registered in 1895.
