UK Queen Victoria Jubilee Head Silver Shilling, 1889
Description
A UK silver shilling coin dated 1889. The obverse features the Jubilee Head portrait of Queen Victoria facing left, with the circumscribed legend VICTORIA DEI GRATIA BRITT: REGINA F: D:. The reverse presents a crowned, quartered shield of arms representing England, Scotland, and Ireland, encircled by the Garter with the motto HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE. The date is split as 18 89 on either side of the shield. Struck in .925 silver with a milled edge. KM# 761.
