Description

A collection of two pieces of heavy-gauge cut lead crystal, possibly of British or Irish manufacture, dating to the mid-20th century. The first item is a small, shallow handled dish, frequently referred to as a nappy or lemon dish, featuring a single circular loop handle. The body is decorated with deep diamond cutting above a central star-cut base, and finished with a fine notched or serrated rim. The second item is a small pedestal vase or holder, featuring a central band of cross-hatched diamond cutting. The upper portion is decorated with vertical wedge or fan cuts leading to a matching notched rim, while the lower body transitions into a circular pedestal foot with a star-cut base. Both pieces exhibit high clarity and the sharp, refractive edges characteristic of high-quality lead crystal production. No maker marks, etched signatures, or labels are visible on either piece.
