An Assortment of Vintage Kitchenalia and Commemorative Metalware
Description
An assortment of vintage kitchenalia, commemorative objects, and novelty items. The collection includes a silver-plated over-the-cup tea strainer with an associated porcelain drip bowl. The strainer handle is inscribed with G [crown] R, 1937, and CORONATION. The ceramic bowl features a matching transfer-printed royal crest for the coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. Also included is a pair of vintage wooden butter paddles, commonly known as Scotch hands, with characteristic ribbed and grooved surfaces. Two novelty salt and pepper shakers are present, stylised in the form of hippopotamuses and made from silver-plated metal. Completing the lot is an irregularly shaped stoneware dish with a mottled red and cream glaze.
