Description

A collection of white ironstone tableware featuring a classic pattern in the style of the Bleu De Roi design produced by British manufacturers such as Alfred Meakin and Myott. The decoration consists of a broad underglaze cobalt blue band at the rim, framed by fine gilded lines. The collection includes a stack of circular plates, a large oval soup tureen with a matching lid, a smaller oval vegetable tureen with a lid and its corresponding underplate, two additional oval tureen lids, and a matching ceramic ladle. The handles of the tureens and the finials on the lids are moulded with foliate and scroll relief details, enhanced with hand-applied gilding. The ladle bowl is similarly finished with a blue and gold band. No manufacturer marks or backstamps are visible in the provided imagery, though the forms are characteristic of late Victorian or Edwardian British domestic pottery.
