A Large Collection of Wade Whimsies and Miniature Ceramic Figurines

A large collection of miniature glazed ceramic figurines, predominantly identified as Wade Whimsies produced by Wade Potteries in Stoke-on-Trent. The assortment comprises multiple items including a diverse range of animal figures such as various dog breeds (including Dalmatians, Poodles, Terriers, and Spaniels), cats, birds, sheep, a pig, a kangaroo, and a rabbit. Human figures are also featured, including characters in period dress, nursery rhyme figures such as Jill, and children. Additional items include a miniature ceramic cannon, a baby in a cradle, and a small architectural model. The lot includes two original cardboard boxes, one white and yellow illustrated box marked WADE Whimsies and one grey box marked Sherwood Forest. The figurines are finished in characteristic monochrome and multi-coloured glazes typical of mid-20th-century production.
