Swiss Made Art Deco Enamel and Gold-Tone Necessaire Souvenir of Berlin

A mid-20th-century Art Deco style lady’s multi-functional vanity case, or necessaire, of Swiss manufacture. The rectangular case is constructed from gold-tone metal and features pale pink enamel panels accented by vertical gold-tone stripes. The lower section is embellished with an applied enamel crest for the city of Berlin, depicting a black bear on a white shield below a banner inscribed BERLIN. This multi-purpose accessory integrates a lighter mechanism, a cigarette compartment, and a hinged powder compact containing a fine fabric mesh screen. The lighter guard is stamped with the words SWISS MADE. The item is accompanied by its original cardboard box, which bears handwritten notations including 78216 Pink Case and Berlin, alongside a small purple flannel protective pouch.
