Vintage Royal Insurance Company Embossed Metal Shield Advertising Sign

A mid-20th century embossed metal advertising sign for the Royal Insurance Company. The sign is manufactured from pressed sheet metal and shaped as a heraldic shield with an integral embossed crown at the top. The front face is finished in red paint with the word ROYAL rendered in vertically aligned, embossed yellow capital letters. The crown features painted details in yellow, red, and white. The sign includes several pre-drilled mounting holes located at the top and bottom corners and the side points. The reverse side has a black painted finish with some red overspray and surface grime.
