Queen Victoria Gold Sovereign, 1899
Description
A British gold sovereign coin dated 1899, featuring the Veiled Head portrait of Queen Victoria on the obverse. The reverse displays the classic St George and the Dragon design by Benedetto Pistrucci. This full sovereign is struck in 22-carat gold. The absence of a mint mark above the date indicates that the piece was struck at the Royal Mint in London.
