A 1900 British Gold Sovereign

The auction will start in __ days and __ hours __ minutes

Description

A gold Sovereign dated 1900. The reverse depicts the classic motif of St. George and the Dragon by Benedetto Pistrucci, with the date 1900 struck in the exergue. The coin is struck in 22 carat (.9167 fine) gold. Based on the absence of a mint mark in the ground line above the date, the coin was likely struck at the Royal Mint in London. The obverse, though not visible, would typically feature the Old Head portrait of Queen Victoria. The item is shown centred on a circular black foam display pad.

Standard Gross Weight (Sovereign): 7.98 g (0.256 oz t)
