A Pair of Carnelian and 14 Carat Yellow Gold Stud Earrings

A matched pair of stud earrings for pierced ears. Each earring features a circular cabochon-cut gemstone of a translucent reddish-orange hue, consistent with carnelian. The stones are bezel-set within 14 carat yellow gold mounts, each designed with a decorative textured nugget-style border. The reverse of each setting is constructed with a horizontal supporting bar that holds the ear post. The lot includes two gold-toned butterfly friction backs. The reverse of the horizontal bars is stamped with the hallmark 585 for 14 carat gold, alongside other indistinct marks appearing to include the characters 1 5 and S G.
