2002 England Football World Cup One Pound Coin and Stamp Cover PNC

This commemorative philatelic numismatic cover (PNC) was issued to celebrate the England national football team during the 2002 FIFA World Cup. The front of the cover features a dynamic action photograph of two football players against a green pinstriped background, alongside the vertically oriented title ENGLAND.

The philatelic elements consist of a miniature sheet of four 1st class postage stamps, each depicting a football over the St George’s Cross, and a separate 1st class stamp featuring a stylised lion’s head. All stamps are cancelled with special pictorial postmarks dated WEMBLEY 31.5.02, marking the opening date of the tournament.

The numismatic element is an inset brilliant uncirculated (BU) gold-tone one pound coin. The visible reverse of the coin features the Three Lions crest, which is the official emblem of the England national team. The cover is identified as a Limited Edition and is printed with the individual serial number 03365. It is presented in a clear protective plastic sleeve.
