Vintage Alvey Model 525/C12/6 Bakelite and Chrome Side-Cast Fishing Reel

This vintage side-cast fishing reel was manufactured by Charles Alvey and Son in Australia. The reel features a dark brown phenolic resin (bakelite) spool and a chrome-plated metal backplate. The front assembly includes a single winding handle fitted with a dark polished resin knob and a metal star drag system. The reverse side features a central metal mounting bracket and a wire line guide. The backplate is marked with a raised black and gold-toned nameplate reading ALVEY.
