A Pair of Chinese Cloisonne Enamel Miniature Ginger Jars with Covers and Original Box

A matching pair of miniature Chinese cloisonne enamel ginger jars of ovoid form, each featuring a domed cover with a pointed brass finial. The decoration consists of polychrome enamels depicting large peony blossoms in white and yellow tones with green leaves. The background is a vibrant sky-blue ground with a dense pattern of scrolling wirework clouds. The rims and bases are accented with ruyi-head and lappet borders in red and green. The interiors and the underside of the bases are coated in a turquoise-blue enamel. The jars are presented with two turned wood stands and the original gold-coloured patterned cardboard box. The box lid features a blue and white label with the Chinese characters 景泰藍 (Jingtai Lan) and the text HAND MADE, CLOISONNE WARE, and MADE IN CHINA, with the Chinese characters 中國製造 (Zhongguo Zhizao) below. A small red seal mark is present on the label but is not clearly legible.
