Description
An Edwardian oak stationery cabinet of campaign-style design, featuring a sloped front adorned with decorative brass strapwork and a central brass lock. The twin doors open to reveal a tiered interior with multiple scalloped-edged stationery dividers. The lower section includes a central pen tray and two circular recesses intended for inkwells. The interior of the right door is fitted with a white writing surface containing handwritten notes in ink, including the name Pauline and an address for Fitzgerald, Georgia, USA. The left door is fitted with two spring-loaded brass clips. The cabinet is constructed from oak with visible figuring and features brass strap hinges. No manufacturer marks are visible.
