The auction will start in __ days and __ hours __ minutes

Description

A pair of polychrome glazed porcelain figurines depicting a man and a woman in 18th-century courtly attire. The male figure is portrayed standing with powdered hair tied in a queue, wearing a deep burgundy frock coat with gilded patterns over a floral-patterned waistcoat and white breeches. The female figure is shown standing, wearing a wide-brimmed pink hat and a coordinating burgundy gown with white ruffles, floral detailing, and gilded highlights. Both figures are positioned against ornate rococo-style supports and mounted on scrollwork bases decorated with shell motifs in shades of white and pale lilac. The underside of each figurine features an underglaze blue mark consisting of two crossed lines with three horizontal cross-bars, attributed to the Sitzendorf porcelain factory in Thuringia, Germany. Each base also bears an impressed number 70.
