A Collection of Langley Stoneware Tableware in the Canterbury Pattern

A collection of Langley stoneware tableware finished in the Canterbury pattern. The pieces feature a characteristic speckled honey-brown glaze with concentric ridged decoration to the exterior of the hollowware. The plates are decorated with a central transfer-printed stylised floral motif in a palette of brown, yellow, and orange tones. The items are marked to the base with the Langley windmill logo and Made in England. This assortment includes lidded casserole dishes with twin lug handles and steam-vented lids, a stack of side plates, tall cylindrical handleless mugs, and a small condiment dish. These items were manufactured in Derbyshire, England, during the mid-20th century.
