Lot 77:
A Collection of Decorative Ceramics Including a Floral Pedestal Comport and a Landscape Service Attributed to Royal Albert
Description
This lot comprises two distinct groups of decorative ceramics. The primary group is a partial landscape service attributed to Royal Albert in the Greenwood Tree pattern. This collection includes a group of side plates, a group of larger plates, and a lobed serving platter. The decoration depicts a gnarled tree in the foreground alongside flowering shrubs in purple, yellow, and blue, framed by a scalloped rim with a green-painted band. The second component is a single pedestal comport or tazza featuring a white glazed body, a reticulated pierced border, and a gilt rim. The centre is decorated with a multi-coloured floral spray. While the landscape items are highly characteristic of Royal Albert production, no maker’s marks are visible in the imagery to provide a definitive confirmation of the manufacturer.
