Art Nouveau style polychrome bronze effect dragonfly and lotus vase

An Art Nouveau style vase of tapering organic form, attributed to Veronese Design. The vessel is decorated in high relief with a naturalistic pond theme, featuring a large dragonfly with intricately textured wings positioned over a lotus seed pod and aquatic grasses. The reverse side depicts a budding lotus flower and lily pads, with the base of the vase formed from a cluster of overlapping foliage. The piece is finished with a deep brown patina and accented with cold-painted polychrome highlights in shades of verdigris green and dusky red. The rim is irregularly shaped to integrate with the foliate motifs.
