Two Border Fine Arts James Herriot Cold-Cast Resin Animal Figurines

This lot comprises two hand-painted cold-cast resin figurines produced by Border Fine Arts in Scotland, inspired by the rural works of author James Herriot. The first figurine, titled Herbert (model number JH14), depicts a reclining black-faced sheep resting on a textured, mossy-effect base. The underside bears a circular gold foil label identifying the maker and series, All Creatures Great and Small, with a 1972 copyright. The characters RR are inscribed into the base edge. The second figurine is a naturalistic study of a game bird, likely a partridge or grouse, nestled amongst green reeds on a stony ground-effect base. The top of the base is inscribed with James Herriot, BFA Scotland, and a 1988 copyright date. The underside retains a rectangular gold foil label for Border Fine Arts.
