The lot contains a large folio volume of The Art Journal in a grey cloth binding featuring ornate blind-stamped borders and gilt-lettered titles. RICHTER – EDITORE – ROMA. Several volumes of Cassell’s Natural History are present, edited by P. Martin Duncan. These are bound in maroon cloth with gilt-decorated spines. The title page of Volume IV identifies the publisher as CASSELL & COMPANY, LIMITED: LONDON, PARIS, NEW YORK & MELBOURNE. Also present are volumes of Pictorial Knowledge bound in black cloth with blind-stamped and gilt decoration to the spines.
