Description

An Omega Constellation Chronometer wristwatch, reference CD 168.029, featuring a gold-capped stainless steel C-shape case. The silvered dial has a vertical linen-textured finish and applied gilt baton hour markers with black inserts. A date aperture is positioned at 3 o’clock. The dial is marked with an applied Omega symbol and the name OMEGA above AUTOMATIC, CHRONOMETER, and OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED at 12 o’clock. At 6 o’clock, the name Constellation is written in cursive script above a five-pointed star. The bottom edge of the dial is marked T SWISS MADE T. The caseback features a central embossed gold medallion depicting an observatory under eight stars, with the outer steel rim inscribed WATERPROOF and 168.029 – TOOL 106. The watch is fitted with a matching gold-plated beads of rice style bracelet with a fold-over clasp, the end links being marked 158. This lot is accompanied by the original red Omega presentation box and an international guarantee booklet. The red booklet is hand-inscribed with the reference CD 168.029, movement number 22993426, and a sale date of 16-2-67. It bears a dealer stamp for P. R. Higgins of Chichester.
