A comprehensive stoneware dinner and tea service in the Greenwheat pattern, comprising approximately 35 pieces. The service features hand-painted underglaze decoration of stylised wheat stalks with rust-red seed heads and green leaves set against a cream-glazed ground. The forms include two lidded tureens, one circular with twin loop handles and one vegetable dish with a long handle, two sauce boats, a lidded preserve jar, a square serving dish, several egg cups, a cruet set on a crescent-shaped stand, open bowls, and an assortment of teacups, saucers, dinner plates, and side plates. Accentuated with solid forest green glazes on lids, saucers, and interiors, the collection was designed by Albert Colledge for Denby Pottery. No factory marks are visible in the provided photograph; however, the pattern and specific forms are characteristic of this well-documented range.
