An earthenware part dinner and tea service with a cream glaze. The service is decorated with a transfer-printed naturalistic motif of ring-necked pheasants in flight amongst pine branches, set against a faint landscape background. The handles of the teacups, double-handled cream soup bowls, and creamer, together with the finial of the teapot, are finished with hand-painted green accents. This collection comprises a tall teapot with a lid, an oval serving platter, a creamer, four double-handled cream soup bowls, nine teacups, and an assortment of saucers and plates. No manufacturer’s marks or backstamps are visible on the pieces in the photograph.
