This English fine bone china part-service is decorated in the Strawberry Ripe pattern. The collection includes a large multi-compartment serving dish with a central handle, a cream jug, an open oval bowl, a rectangular lidded box, and a circular plate. The decoration consists of transfer-printed sprays of ripe red strawberries, white blossoms with yellow centres, and green foliage. The large serving dish features a moulded basketweave texture to the exterior lower half, and the handle is accented with gilded linear details. Each piece is finished with a hand-applied gilt rim. The base of the items features a green printed mark consisting of the word HAMMERSLEY in an upper arc above a device depicting three oak leaves and an acorn in a basket. Below the device are the words FINE BONE CHINA in a lower arc and Made in England in a straight line. A small orange hand-painted mark resembling the numeral 3 is located adjacent to the printed stamp.
