A lot consisting of two separate pieces of furniture. The first is an Edwardian carver armchair constructed from a dark mahogany-stained hardwood. The chair features a shield-shaped back with a pierced scrollwork top rail and vertical splats. The out-swept arms rest on turned supports. The chair is upholstered with a green velvet seat and a central back panel, both finished with a gold-toned decorative braided trim. It stands on turned front legs joined by an H-stretcher, which includes a decorative pierced scrollwork front stretcher matching the top rail. The second item is a small chest of drawers in the Regency style, finished with mahogany veneers. The rectangular top sits above four graduated drawers. Each drawer is fitted with two brass-tone swan-neck handles on decorative shaped backplates. The chest rests on a flat plinth base. No maker marks, labels, or stamps are visible on either item.
