Description

An assortment of decorative ceramics, royal commemorative items, and tableware. The collection features a large circular earthenware plate decorated with a transfer-printed or hand-painted landscape scene depicting tall eucalyptus-style trees overlooking a bay, rendered in a palette of soft greens, blues, and ochres. A pink glazed ceramic bowl is designed in a scalloped umbrella form and is fitted with a central brass-tone metal handle. A framed textile artwork, possibly embroidered, depicts a peacock with a fanned tail surrounded by smaller birds and floral motifs within a gold-toned frame. A pair of ceramic egg coddlers are decorated with polychrome floral sprays and are fitted with screw-on metal lids and ring handles.

Royal commemorative items include two white ceramic mugs for the Silver Jubilee of HM Queen Elizabeth II; the inner rims are printed with the text TO COMMEMORATE THE SILVER JUBILEE OF and the bodies feature a central portrait above the printed text H.M. QUEEN ELIZABETH II 1952 – 1977. A rectangular porcelain trinket box with a removable lid commemorates the accession of the Queen, with the side of the base inscribed with the printed characters ACCESSION TO THE THRONE 1952 – 1977.

Tableware includes a set of six knives with cream-coloured handles housed in a presentation box; the knife blades are incised with the characters STAINLESS STEEL and MADE IN SHEFFIELD ENGLAND. An oval silver-plated tray features a pierced gallery border. Further items include a small two-tone glazed stoneware jug and a matching miniature mug with relief-moulded village scenes, a cast brass owl figurine, and a stylized dark glass dachshund figurine. A plastic bag containing small unidentified components is also included.
