A mid-20th century commercial delivery crate manufactured from heavy-gauge aluminium sheet metal. The rectangular bin features a rolled top rim and folded seams at the corners. Both long sides are decorated with identical embossed lettering. The text reads PROPERTY OF in uppercase sans-serif characters, positioned above a central hexagonal frame containing a script logo for Wall’s. Beneath the logo are the words ICE CREAM in further uppercase characters. The interior is open with a plain base, showing the reverse of the embossed exterior markings. The construction is industrial in style, originally intended for the transport and storage of ice cream products.
