The shaped rectangular top is finished with a gold-coloured ground, depicting two cranes amongst pine trees and a red sun. A single frieze drawer repeats the crane motif and is fitted with a brass escutcheon. The table is supported by four turned legs with gilded ring accents and linear decoration at the corners. A lower shelf or undertier is decorated with a yellow peony and pale blue flowers against a black lacquer background. No maker marks, labels, or signatures are visible.
