A 9 carat yellow gold bracelet of traditional curb link construction. The bracelet is composed of hollow, uniform oval links with a polished finish. It is secured by a heart-shaped padlock clasp which is hinged and features a central keyhole detail flanked by six small circular indentations on the front. A safety chain is attached to the terminal links and the padlock for added security.

The reverse of the padlock clasp is marked with a struck maker’s mark consisting of the letters AJCD in a rectangular cartouche. Below this is a full set of British hallmarks including the finality mark 9 and 375 for 9 carat gold, an anchor symbol for the Birmingham Assay Office, and the lowercase date letter c in a clipped corner shield. Several of the individual curb links are also struck with the common control mark 375 and the number 9. The maker’s mark AJCD corresponds to the firm A.J. Cheshire & Sons.
