A Jugendstil silver-plated and glass wine cooler set by WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik). The set comprises a clear glass cylindrical bucket featuring etched horizontal line decoration, fitted with a silver-plated rim and a swing handle. The rim is decorated with a relief-molded foliate and berry design in the Art Nouveau style. The lot includes a separate internal cooling cylinder with a tiered, domed lid, designed to be filled with ice to chill the contents of the bucket. Stamped marks are present on the metal rim of the glass bucket; these include the characters “as”, “1/0”, and the maker’s name “WMFM” impressed into the metal. The “WMFM” mark indicates the use of a brass base (Messing), while “1/0” denotes the silver plating thickness and “as” signifies an antique silver finish (antique versilbert).
