A collection of Japanese Invasion Money (JIM) issued by the Japanese Government for use in occupied Malaya during the Second World War. The group consists of multiple denominations including Ten Dollar, Five Dollar, and One Dollar notes. The Ten Dollar note is printed in green and blue and features a central vignette of banana trees and fruit with block letters MP. The Five Dollar notes are printed in purple and tan with a vignette of palm trees and block letters MR. The One Dollar notes are printed in blue and grey with a pink central tint, featuring a vignette of breadfruit and block letters MO. All notes are inscribed with THE JAPANESE GOVERNMENT and their respective denominations in English. These issues do not feature individual serial numbers, utilising block letter codes instead.
