A group of glazed earthenware promotional mugs produced for the Taunton Cider Company, Somerset, including pieces attributed to Wade Potteries. The collection features several two-handled loving cups and single-handled mugs of varying sizes. The items are decorated with a mix of polychrome and monochrome transfer-printed designs. These include traditional rural cider press scenes, botanical illustrations of apples and fruit-bearing branches, and the company’s stylized T logo. One small mug is finished in a solid cobalt blue glaze, and another larger mug displays a gilt-lined rim with a pink foliate border to the interior. Visible printed inscriptions include Taunton Cider Company, Cider, and TAUNTON in serif and script fonts. The lot is accompanied by an original cardboard presentation box featuring blue decorative borders and company branding.
