A Collection of Seven Pewter Hollowware Items Including a Lidded Flagon and Tankards

The auction will start in __ days and __ hours __ minutes

Description

A collection of seven pewter hollowware items including a large lidded flagon and six tankards. The flagon is of bulbous form with a tapered neck and a flared foot, featuring a hinged lid with a double-scrolled thumbpiece and a securing chain attached to the handle. This form is characteristic of Continental European pewterware, such as Swiss or German Senn flagons. The six tankards are of assorted designs; three larger examples feature slightly flared bases and S-curved handles, while three smaller tankards include one with a worn, illegible incised inscription to the body. The pieces are cast and turned. No maker’s marks are clearly visible in the provided images.
