The collection comprises a variety of decorative and functional objects in Middle Eastern and European styles. The brass tray top features intricate hand-etched geometric and foliate scrollwork and is supported by a folding wooden base. The vessels in the collection include a large bulbous vase with a slender neck decorated with etched bird and floral motifs, two cylindrical lidded canisters with dense embossed Islamic-style patterns, a small flared bud vase, and a footed brass basin with twin ring handles. Copper items include a circular tray and a scalloped dish with a central star motif. Lighting elements consist of a pair of heavy cast brass candlesticks with baluster-turned stems on stepped hexagonal bases. Also included are two shell-shaped cast metal dishes with figural relief elements, a scrolled brass bottle opener, and a rectangular red leather box with gilded border detailing. Construction techniques evident throughout the collection include casting, hand-etching, and embossing. No maker’s marks or hallmarks were observed on the items.
