Each cover includes a themed set of postage stamps with first-day-of-issue postmarks. UK themes include the 50th Anniversary of the NHS (1998), 150 Years of Public Libraries (2000), The Written Word (2005), 150th Anniversary of the Victoria Cross (2006, two-coin set), Centenary of Scouting (2007), Notting Hill Carnival (2007), Amazon Alive (2009), Benjamin Britten Centenary (2013), Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games (2014), 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain (2015), and the Representation of the People Act 1918 (2018). The Australian cover commemorates World Heritage Sites (2005) and contains two coins. The UK coins feature the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse with specialized commemorative designs on the reverse. Maker logos for Royal Mail and The Royal Mint are visible on the reverse of the envelopes.
