Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons Gilded and Enamel Presentation Jewel
Description
A circular Masonic presentation jewel for the Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons (G.L. M.M.M.). The piece is constructed from gilded base metal with hard enamel detailing. The obverse features a central white enamelled shield-shaped field containing a circular motif with a triangle and stylized characters. This central element is set against a relief-moulded background of foliate scrolls and ears of wheat. The outer border is finished in dark blue enamel and carries the Latin motto in gilt Gothic-style lettering: QUI DILIGIT DEUM DILIGAT ET FRATREM SUUM, punctuated by a small three-leaf clover or shamrock symbol. The reverse is gilded and flat, bearing the stamped inscriptions G.L. M.M.M. at the top and PRESENTED TO BRO. at the bottom. The space intended for a recipient’s name remains blank. A small jump ring is fitted at the top for suspension from a ribbon or chain.
