Two Wade Ceramics NatWest Promotional Pig Money Boxes
Description
A pair of glazed ceramic money boxes from the NatWest pig family series, commissioned by National Westminster Bank and manufactured by Wade Ceramics in England during the 1980s. The lot includes two characters: Woody and Sir Nathaniel. Woody is modelled as a piglet wearing a textured white nappy with a silver-coloured safety pin. Sir Nathaniel is modelled as an older pig wearing a white collared shirt, a green waistcoat, and a yellow and green striped tie. Both items feature moulded Wade England marks to the base.
