Description

This collection consists of three hardcover volumes from the early 20th century. The first volume is Nests and Eggs SHOWN TO THE CHILDREN by A. H. Blaikie, described by J. A. Henderson, published by T. C. and E. C. Jack, London and Edinburgh. This undated small octavo is part of the Shown to the Children series and is bound in publisher’s green cloth with a pictorial colour inlay on the front board. It contains forty-eight colour plates. The second volume is a Twelfth Edition of 1066 AND ALL THAT by Walter Carruthers Sellar and Robert Julian Yeatman, illustrated by John Reynolds and published by Methuen and Co. Ltd., London. The book is bound in red cloth. The third volume is a Fine-Paper Edition of TRAVELS WITH A DONKEY IN THE CEVENNES by Robert Louis Stevenson, published by Chatto and Windus, London, in 1907. This edition features a frontispiece illustration by Walter Crane.
