A Collection of Vintage Children's Books including Beatrix Potter, A.A. Milne, and de la Mare

A collection of vintage children’s literature comprising several small-format volumes. The group features two titles by Beatrix Potter: The Tale of Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle and The Tale of Tom Kitten, both published by F. Warne & Co. Ltd. These volumes are bound in paper-covered boards with central circular pictorial inlays. Also included is a sixteenth edition of A.A. Milne’s When We Were Very Young, published by Methuen & Co. Ltd., London, featuring decorations by Ernest H. Shepard and bound in light blue paper-covered boards with stamped character illustrations. The collection contains Walter de la Mare’s Songs of Childhood, published by Faber and Faber Limited, London, with decorations by Marion Rivers-Moore; this volume is bound in blue cloth with gold-stamped figures on the front board and bears a handwritten gift inscription To Jill on the front flyleaf. Additionally, there is a Ladybird Book titled Shopping with Mother. The books are primarily duodecimo in size.
