Two Royal Worcester Flower Fairies Porcelain Plates and Two Cicely Mary Barker Illustrated Books

This lot comprises two miniature decorative porcelain plates manufactured by Royal Worcester and two small format hardback books, all featuring the artwork of Cicely Mary Barker. The two plates are crafted from fine porcelain and decorated with transfer-printed illustrations. One plate depicts The Lilac Fairy and is dated 2000 on the reverse, with the inscription Decorated in England and the reference 79-01. The second plate depicts The Zinnia Fairy and is dated 2004 on the reverse, with the inscription Made in Portugal and the reference 22-03. Both plates bear the Royal Worcester backstamp featuring a crowned circle with the number 51 and the letter W. The plates are housed in their original navy blue card presentation boxes. The two books, titled Flower Fairies of the Spring and Flower Fairies of the Autumn, were published by Blackie and Son Limited of London and Glasgow. These vintage hardback volumes contain poems accompanied by full-colour plates and black-and-white line drawings.
