The auction will start in __ days and __ hours __ minutes

Description

A collection of Wade Irish porcelain produced at the company factory in Portadown, County Armagh, Northern Ireland. The pieces are constructed from porcelain finished in a characteristic high-gloss variegated glaze in tones of blue and olive green. The collection features moulded relief decoration, primarily consisting of shamrock motifs, accompanied by beaded bands and concentric ribbed patterns. The glaze is applied in a manner that pools within the recesses of the moulding to accentuate the decorative details. The assortment includes a large breakfast cup and matching saucer, a tall cylindrical mug with beaded bands, two small creamers or jugs, a small tripod cauldron sugar bowl, and a small tripod dish or egg cup. The bases of several pieces bear a circular backstamp featuring the cursive script Irish Porcelain above a three-leafed shamrock symbol, with the text MADE IN IRELAND BY WADE CO ARMAGH below. Some pieces also feature single impressed letters including W and R.
