Royal Doulton Porcelain Figurine Dreamweaver HN 2283

A Royal Doulton porcelain figurine titled Dreamweaver, model number HN 2283. The figure depicts a bearded man in a seated pose atop a gnarled tree stump, playing a set of panpipes. He is dressed in rustic attire, including a blue button-down shirt with rolled sleeves and tattered green knee-length trousers, and wears simple brown sandals. The base is naturalistically modelled, featuring a brown rabbit at the man’s feet and a small grey mouse perched on a ledge of the stump. The entire piece is finished in a polychrome glaze. This model was designed by Mary Nicoll. The underside of the figurine bears the official manufacturer’s marks in green and black, featuring the Royal Doulton lion and crown backstamp. The printed marks include the title Dreamweaver, the model number H N 2283, and Doulton & Co Limited. It also lists four registration numbers: Rd No 953115, Rd No 59526, Rd No 12643, and Rd No 777/71. An incised potter’s mark is partially visible on the unglazed foot rim.
