A Miniature Brass Presentation Miner's Safety Lamp
Description
A miniature brass presentation miner’s safety lamp, designed in the style of a traditional British coal mining lamp of the Cambrian type. The lamp is constructed from polished brass and features a central cylindrical glass chamber protected by four vertical brass pillars. The upper casing is perforated for ventilation and is topped with a cap and a swivel suspension loop. An applied brass presentation plaque is mounted to the upper body, bearing an engraved inscription. This item is a commemorative souvenir or retirement gift rather than a functional piece of mining equipment.
