A Collection of Vintage Ceramic Dog Figurines, Novelty Flasks, and Miniature Figures

This collection comprises an assortment of vintage and antique ceramic novelties, including dog figurines and figural vessels. The lot features a stoneware spirit flask or bottle modelled as a seated gentleman in a top hat and frock coat, finished with a dark metallic or lustre glaze. A smaller brown-glazed novelty ceramic bottle is included, featuring a black screw-top cap and a painted character face with a red bow tie. The group contains several canine figures, including a large matte-finished bisque porcelain terrier and three miniature porcelain dogs, two of which are depicted in boots. Additional items include a reclining figure in a green coat, a novelty boot with a horse-head terminal, and a standing figure in a purple coat with a circular aperture to the top, possibly intended as a spill holder. The items are in the style of early to mid-20th-century European and Japanese export ceramics. No manufacturer marks are clearly visible, although indistinct impressed or painted marks are present on some pieces.
