Gordon King, A Pair of Signed Limited Edition Prints, The Rose and The Letter

A pair of limited edition offset lithographs after original watercolours by the British artist Gordon King (b. 1939). The works, titled The Rose and The Letter, depict romanticised scenes of a dark-haired woman in soft, floral-filled interiors. The Rose shows the subject gazing into a gilded mirror while holding a flower, while The Letter depicts her seated at a writing desk. Both prints are hand-signed in pencil Gordon King to the lower right margin and contain a facsimile signature within the image. They are numbered 645/850 in pencil to the lower right. The lower left margin of each print features an embossed Fine Art Trade Guild blind stamp with the code EEE and the FAG shield. Each is housed in an ornate silver-toned moulded frame with a triple-layered mount.
