A large Chinese cast copper-alloy numismatic charm or amulet. The obverse face features a square central aperture surrounded by four cast Chinese characters in standard script: 萬, 事, 如, and 意. Together, these characters form the auspicious idiom Wan Shi Ru Yi. These characters are positioned between four of the Eight Auspicious Symbols (Ashtamangala), including a pair of fish, a lotus flower, and a mystic knot. The reverse displays a cast pictorial scene depicting traditional Chinese architecture and landscape elements. The item is cast from a dark bronze-coloured metal and lacks any readable maker or mint marks.
