A Victorian style brass fireplace fender of tubular construction. The fender is composed of a long front rail and two shorter side returns. The structure is decorated with five spherical ball finials: one at each corner junction, one at the terminal end of each side return, and one positioned at the centre of the front rail. The side returns are reinforced with an additional lower horizontal support bar. The item is constructed from brass and shows an aged gold patina across all surfaces. There are no visible maker marks, stamps, or labels on the exterior surfaces shown.
