A miniature collector’s chest of drawers constructed from dark-stained hardwood with secondary drawer linings of a lighter-coloured fruitwood or pine. The chest features an unusual configuration of five drawers: the leftmost column contains two small drawers, while the three columns to the right each feature a single, tall vertical drawer. Each vertical drawer is fitted with three small turned wooden knobs, and the two small drawers feature one knob each. These knobs are decorated with central light-coloured circular inlays. The piece is distinguished by two spiral-patterned decorative rods at the top and bottom front edges, featuring diagonal banding in red, white, and blue. The chest is constructed with solid wood drawer sides. The side of one drawer bears a handwritten character in graphite, which reads 2 (photo 4). The back is formed by a single solid wood panel.
