A pair of English earthenware twin-handled vases of ovoid form, each featuring a flared neck and a stepped, circular foot. The handles are scrolled with a crimped or pie-crust edge. The exterior surfaces are moulded with a texture consisting of vertical wavy lines around the neck and diagonal bands around the body. They are decorated with a mottled matte glaze in tones of sandy beige and ochre, accented with vertical streaks of sage green and blue running from the shoulder toward the base.

The base of each vase bears an impressed mark. At the top, the words MADE IN ENGLAND are arranged in a curve. Centred below this is the impressed model number 495. Beneath the number is a script mark reading Beswick Ware, followed by a smaller impressed mark reading Made in England. The underside of one vase shows a small area of blue glaze run from the production process.
